I loved Bad Ischl. Charming Austrians, very few Americans (sorry - a plus for someone who enjoys completely getting away from any reminders of home). Gorgeous scenery, good value, diverse opportunities for all kinds of activity; cultural, scenic, recreational, sport... Loved it and will definitely come back.
