    Have a look for this fassade put in front of the old gothic building.

    Stadthotel Styria is a newly built hotel behind the old gothic facade.

    If you click on the pic you might see, that even the window on the left and the right is cut into half by the old roof-construction

    Jugendherberge Ennsleite (youth-hostel) is certainly the cheapest kind of accomodation in Steyr.

    It is on the small hill just behind the train-station.
    Take the lift at the station to the 1st floor and follow the signs.
    within 5-10 minutes you will be at the hostel
