Hotel Schafbergspitze
The Hotel Schafbergspitze is conveniently located at the top of Schafberg mountain (1783 metres) and offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes of the Salzkammergut region of Austria on a clear day. It can be reached by the cog railway (see transportation tip) and there is also a restaurant at this hotel.

The Berghotel Schafbergspitze: Can't beat the view!
Consider this: The roundtrip fare to get to the top of the mountain is 22 Euro. If you're not scared of heights, you might consider paying another 30 Euros or so to stay at this hotel. For a total of around 50 Euros you can have the best view in the entire Salzkammergut region, a comfortable bed and they'll even throw in breakfast!
Unique Quality: How many hotels have views like this!
*note: I didn't stay here, but I checked out the lobby and the restaurant and it looks good.

Hotel (Haus) Schafbergsptize: A good nights sleep at 1783 meters above sea level
I have not never spent the night at this place so I cannot offer a true account of what they offer. I can however provide you with contact details and the following. A stay here must be amazing. How awesome would it be to have the kind of view one finds at the top of this mountain from one's own balcony. It is certainly something I would like to try in the future.
Unique Quality: Aside from being found at 1783 meters above sea level and offering an unimaginable view, they have patio seating at their hotel! Obviously the view is what makes it key!
