the best choice for Steyr
For more than 7 years I was working in this great hotel, that I considder the very best choice for a perfect vacation in Steyr. This hotel was built step by step into 4 houses dating back to the medieval times and at many places you may still feel the great atmosphere, a perfect combination of old architecture and modern comfort.
They offer accomodation in 63 rooms

Fine accomodations in Steyr
I was not a guest of this hotel, but thanks to Michael, our very own VT'er, 'globetrott', Elisabeth and I got an exceptional private tour of the hotel. We got to explore many of the vacant rooms, the hotel's restuarant, bar, wine cellar, and many passages. Michael described much of the history of the hotel and many of the secrets. It was a great addtion to our trip and made us feel like VIP's.
Unique Quality: For one, Hotel Mader is situated in one of the many old buildings of Steyr. In fact, the hotel spans a total of 2 or 3 buildings, each connecting to each other via one of the many passageways. It's tradtion and flair are unparalleled and there is also free internet available to hotel guests, and that's a definite plus!

Hotel Mader
Hotel Mader is a four stars hotel in the very centre of the town, it faces on the main square, and in it you can really feel a four star service which you notice also in small particulars like a very high quality bath foam and not a grain of sand out of place, which can seem something silly but shows the difference between a four stars hotel and a four stars hotel ;-)... I mean you really feel molly-cuddled in it.
Please have a look at its internet site for the room price as mine was a really special one due to a special concern...

Mader's beautiful architecture
This time we did not stay in the hotel, nor did we check the prices. This is where our friend Michael works and he took us to see the architecture of the building. Here you can see the scroll work on the "tower" that juts up from the plaza area below where you have a dining area in the open.
Unique Quality: Just enjoying the building itself, it has been well preserved and has "character", something that newer buildings lack. It is also very centrally located in downtown Steyr.

Hotel Mader is very nice and cosy hotel on Stadtplatz. I have to confess that I didn´t stay here, but it looked very charming. All rooms have ****comfort and it is also possible to get into the internet ...
