Mystic Steyr
by seamandrew
By far, Steyr's rich architecture and strategic location at the confluence of the Steyr and Enns River makes it a must vist place for any visitor to this area. Plus, paying a visit to everybody's good friend Michael (globetrott) is always a plus! As night descended on Steyr, we were crossing the river over a small foot bridge and I looked towards the Michaelerkirche and to my surprise, I could see the reflection of the church against the Steyr River. I immediately pulled out my camera and took the best shot I could considering the lack of light and overcast conditions. Admiring this view was one of my fondest memories of Steyr.
Great old houses
by MEdelmann
The medival town consists of old houses only, which are almost 250 years old. This is another picture I took with my wide angle- lens - you can see the whole town square on it ...
Simply click on the picture to see the details of this fascinating square ...

This is the main street of downtown Steyr and on the right the angled street that leads into the Lamberg castle. You can see the tiny street that is Stadplatz, the main street. From here you walk only a few hundred yards through old beautifuly preserved buildings to the center of town where the steet suddenly widens into the plaza.

Steyr - Hotel Mader courtyard
by Martin_S.
Michael took us to explore a little in the Hotel Mader and this was one of the sights that we got to see. This is one of the interior courtyards of the hotel and it is almost impossible to discern here, but each and every one of the colums is worked differently and each floor has its own design along the wall.
