Kaprun is one of the oldest ski resort in Austria. Located 80 km South of Salzburg, it is only 8 km away of Zell am See and Zeller See.

"Kitzsteinhorn"
Kitzsteinhorn is the main attraction point in Kaprun. It is the highest mountain peak in the area: 3203 meters above sea level. The glacier with the same name covers the area with snow the whole year round. Kitzsteinhorn has a panorama point on its South side with a view towards the highest peaks of the Austrian Alps, including Austrian highest: Gross Glockner (3797 m).
No maatter if summer or winter, you can ski on Kitzsteinhorn! What about mountain bike, or just walking on many paths around Kitzsteinhorn? Everything is possible! Just choose the fun!

I enjoyed the panorama on a sunny day (I saw the clouds comming from Spain - I know that from TV weather forecast), and I would stay there forever! Unfortunately the latest "bahn" gave me no choice... But I stayed long enough in order to view and picture all the peaks "available" (from East to West):
