Resting on the benches
by victorwkf
It is not easy to walk up the steep trail of Krimml Waterfalls, luckily there are many benches along the path for people to take a rest. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the benches while taking our breath and resting our aching leg muscles. Also, the trees provide very good shade from the hot summer sun :)
a raingear and good shoes
by globetrott
No matter what the weather is like in Krimml you will need a raincoat mainly when going to the "Unterer Wasserfall" - that is the easiest access to the falls. At the other places there is a lot of waterdust as well, but not so heavy and mostly it will be taken by the wind into another direction. This waterdust will never reach the path going uphill, but sometimes the viewpoints, depending on the wind-direction ! Good shoes make sense, but when you intend to step up to Riemann Kanzel only, even high heels would be no big problem. The path is asphalted, but partly steep and when-ever you find wooden steps there will be a handrail as well.
The town of Krimml
by victorwkf
Most of the people who visited Krimml will go directly to the Krimml Waterfalls. For those of you who have more time to spare, you can consider visiting the small town of Krimml which is located about 10-20 minutes walk from the waterfalls. Due to time constraint, I did not visit Krimml but did manage to pass by this town during my bus journey to the waterfalls.
