Sleeping at the base of the Alps

This hotel had it all; great resturaunt, great pub (Tell Yohanne I said hello!!!), A small dance club with karaoke (Tel Mozart I siad hello!!!), great fitness facilities, and an indoor pool jaccuzi and sauna to relax. The rooms were spacious and the view was great from the base of the Alps. Cost was about $175.00 per night, but we found it well worth it.

  • Opinion of Price: more expensive than average

Alpine scenics

Each morning I wake up to this view. Unfortunately it's in Maria Alm, in the Alpine wonderland about 80km south of Salzburg. The commute to and from Salzburg is extremely picturesque, though I wish we could have an extra 3 hours in Salzburg each day.

A: "Couldn't say which is more "polite", but I'd say "grüss Gott" is more common."
