warm welcome
We had a large comfortable ensuite room overlooking the terrace garden/bar. During the time of our stay although the terrace was officially open in the evenings it rained every night so no guests used the outdoor bar.
The owner Peter displays his artwork all around the hotel.
Unique Quality: There is an Internet point in the bar.
peter also keeps a small library of English books.
peter is very helpful with local knowledge.
The breakfast is buffet style and more than adequate for most people.
Situated in a quiet street but only a short walk from the old city. There is an Italian restaurant and an Indian just down the road. There is also a brewery/beer garden very close, but it doesn't cause a problem with noise.

Hotel-Pension Bergland
Personal atmosphere and charm, this hotel is close and convenient for the centre of Salzburg, it is also close to the station and several restaurants.

Excellent Family Run Pension
Great hotel--not ultra close to the center of the touristy things, but within a few minutes walk. It was run exceedingly well, with a wonderful breakfast and nice guestrooms. There was some woman who completely trashed the place on tripadvisor, but let me tell you, she was a ***. It would have been difficult to have had a nicer stay than we did.

A Great Place to Stay
We all really enjoyed our stay here. It was a bit of a walk to the old part of town, but it was a nice walk. The hotel has a great bar filled with books to cozy up into. Breakfast in the morning was a real treat. Delicious with lots of options. My parents were especially pleased.
