Take a tour of the old and the new parts of the city. Being a small city Salzburg can be covered by walk, cycle or private tours. Also to enjoy the Austrian countryside you must take the lakes and mountain tour, seeing is believing. I enjoyed the beautiful countryside and the pretty houses that donned the scenes. The city of Mozart indeed is an inspiration for musicians.

Mozart: you can learn a lot on him during your journey! Here's a brief story...
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791).
An extraordinaryly gifted prodigy child, Mozart began touring the country with concerts at the age of 4, with his father Leopold, himself a musician. Mozart also had another exceptional teacher: Haydn.
When he was 14, Mozart was appointed concert master of the archbishop's orchestra of his native city - Salzburg.
As his relationships with the then archbishop were difficult, he soon began touring again, mostly to Italy, and in 1781 finally left to settle in Vienna, marrying Constance Weber in 1782.
He died in Vienna, and is buried in one of the Austrian capital's cemeteries, his remains were never recognized.
