Institute of St Sebastian
Staying at the institute was quite an experience. My bathroom overlooked the graveyard and the church bells kept on reminding you that you should visit church. It was very nice and clean and breakfast was simple but very good. It is situated in a very good place, only 5 minutes walk to the heart of the old town, Mirabelle gardens and other places of interest. Excellent value for money.

Instirut St Sebastian
We stayed in the institut and what a fantastic place it was. The staff was extremely friendly we had a lovely big room. Breakfast was included in the price of 30 Euro. It is 5 minutes walk from everything worth seeing. I will definately recommend.

Great Place to Stay in Salzburg
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Institut St Sebastian. It is actually a student dormitory but is also welcoming to guests of all ages. It has single/double/triple/quads and dorm rooms.
A single cost me 35 Euros, and it has its own wc and shower. The breakfast was also substantial.
There are communal lounges on almost every floor, an elevator, sun terrace, laundry facilities, self-service kitchens as well as machines for hot and cold drinks.
You don't need a membership to be able to book a room here, there isn't a curfew or lockout time.
The location is great. Situated on Linzergasse, it is about a 15mins leisurely walk from the train station, and 5 mins to the Old Town. Linzergasse itself is filled with restaurants, shops and pensions.
However, how great this guesthouse is, there is one small peeve about St Sebastian - it could get noisy when students commune in the common areas.
Unique Quality: Great location
Safe, comfortable environment

Not Fancy, Though Quiet and a Place to Sleep
This was inexpensive. We shared a dorm room. The beds were the kind one would find in any dorm. Overall a nice place. It's located a block or two up from the main street on the railroad side of the city.

Institut St Sebastian
About 15Euros for a shared room with bath. About average for a hostel here.
Unique Quality: Beautiful interior! Rooms available with or without private bathroom, kitchens on every floor, two TV rooms, and location on a very fashionable street ;) This is ordinarily an all-female dormitory but rents the extra rooms to hostellers of either sex.
