Nice budget accomodations in south Salzburg

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 4, 2005

This converted set of school buildings is classified as a hostel, but it also offers many private double and family rooms. It is definately not an " animal house " type hostel, and is suitable for families and older people alike. It is very clean and well maintained, contains a garden, a bar, and laundry facilities. The breakfast buffet included in the price is the best I have ever had in a hostel. Although this gasthaus is located about 3 km. from altstadt, it is easy to reach by public bus.

Unique Quality: No unique qualities. Just an excellent value.

Directions: Eduard Heinrich Strasse 2. Grunlage district. Go to accomodations section of the website below to get more info., including prices, reservations, and a map showing exact location and bus service information for Alpenstrasse.
