Beautiful Hotel
The service at this hotel was top class. Staff were very helpful and the room was perfect. The location was easy to reach with the number 2 bus. This bus can be taken directly to/from the airport.

Good for veggies!
Although about a 15 minute walk from Salzburg center I can highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious and the food excellent. My wife is a vegetarian and we sometimes struggle to find hotels with a good choice of vegetarian food. The Dorint was exceptional, I have never seen such a varied breakfast selection and my wife was catered for specially by the chef who produced first rate food that I as a carnivore would happily eat. The facilities are not great as they are limited to a solarium and a sauna. This was the first occasion we had travelled to Austria and as in britain we wore swimsuits to the mixed sauna only to discover that everyone else was in the niff!. We took off our swimsuits and enjoyed the freedom of a sauna as it is meant to be.
Unique Quality: The Dorint's most outstanding characteristic is the best quality food I have eaten in any hotel.

The former "Dorint", now "Mercure Kapuzinerberg" is located in the north east of Salzburg, about 1.5 kms from the historic town centre and 8kms from the airport. It offers a bar lounge, two restaurants,. 6 meeting rooms, a parking garage, sauna, steam bath and solarium.Rooms and amenities include the usual, service and food are average.
The hotel misses any personality and could be positioned in any European or Asian city. Somewhat out of walking distance to the interesting places, it is optimal for one- or two-day-meetings.
Unique Quality: Good for undisturbed meetings and for short stays. As in most medium-range hotels of Salzburg, not too much value for money!
