Good accommodation, good price

We hadn't booked in anywhere, so when we were driving into Salzburg and saw Pension Elisabeth, we stopped to see if a room was available.
Rooms were available and continental breakfast was included in the price. The staff were lovely and helfpul and they could speak English. Free wifi was included, but wouldn't work in our room, so they let me sit in the breakfast area where the signal was strong.
Our room was in the attic, overlooking the busy street. We were happy with the room, which included an ensuite. Everybody was quiet in the Pension, and we weren't kept awake by road traffic. Our car was parked off road on the side street and was FREE.

To reach the centre of Salzburg, all we had to do was walk a short distance to the Bus stop, where Bus 21 stopped and took us right into the old town.
We thought the position of the Hotel was good and the price was very reasonable for Salzburg.

We would stay here again.

Perfect b&b a little outside of town centre

We booked Pension Elisabeth online and were perfectly satisfied with it. It is a bed & breakfast but it offers different kind of rooms: Rooms without ensuite bathrooms, with shower but without WC, and rooms with a complete bathroom. Thus, there is something for every budget!

We really loved it here, we had a double room without ensuite bathroom that was very nice and clean. It was nicely furnished, basic but still pleasant. The shared bathroom was also very clean, there is one shower for both sexes and toilets separated for men and women on every floor. But it is not a very large place, so we never had to wait. You also have a washbasin in your room.

The breakfast room is very pretty and breakfast was good (considering the low price). There is a basic breakfast consisting of coffee and tea and two bread rolls with several spreads, but if you want something else (like muesli, joghurt, fruit...) you can order it for a very low price. The system is that you only get to pay what you really want to eat, and I love that, as I am not a very big breakfast-eater.

The staff of Pension Elisabeth are very nice and helpful, they speak English well and also help you with bookings etc. There is a very nice garden area where you can sit, and an internet computer in the breakfast room.

The only minus is that it is a little far from town. We walked about 20 minutes, but that was walking quite fast. There is a bus stop nearby, but we did not feel like waiting for a bus all the time. Half of the walk is through Linzer Gasse, which is a very nice area, so we did not mind.

A supermarket is located very close.

We stayed here for four nights and there was a mix of people staying here: Families, couples and singles, with people from Europe, America and Asia. A really nice mix!

Unique Quality: I would recommend this to everyone who is looking for a nice place to stay, but is travelling on a budget and does not need a fancy hotel. It is pretty and clean and has a lovely atmosphere.

Look no further for value

Salzburg hotels are expensive but we stayed on budget at Pension Elisabeth. Our room was small but fine for two people on a two night stay. The staff were polite and even packed breakfast for us to take away for an early departure.

Unique Quality: It is a bit like a youth hostel but suitable for people of all ages and generally better.

Inexpensive pension

This accommodation is inexpensive compared to others in Salzburg. It is on the edge of the City making it quiet with good views but is on trolley bus route 3 which crosses the city centre via the main railway station and travels past the old city centre. For those with a car it is very close to the Nord motorway junction and parking outside the pension is free. A number of rooms have balconies and you can sit and watch the world go by. There is a campsite next door and the shop sells bus tickets, food and can provide meals and drinks. The family live in the building and speak very good english. A varied buffet breakfast is provided in the price of 30 euros a night for a single room. The rooms are ensuite, cleaned everyday but there are no telephones in the rooms.

Unique Quality: Everything is there for those wanting a good inexpensive base be it by car or public transport.
