Close to the centre, very convenient
The hotel was very basic - no fridge in the room, which wasn't a great problem. The beds were comfy, and each floor had a drinks machine where you could get water, soft drinks or beers, as well as a nice bar downstairs.
We had a room at the front, which although was quiet at midnight, was noisier in the morning as people went to work. If you want a quiet room, ask for one near the back of the hotel. We also worked out on the second night the windows have additional blinds, which keep out a lot of the light!
The bathroom had a shower, and seperate toilet, both clean and in good condition. Towels provided.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Salzburg, and not be too far from the centre. It was a 5 minute walk to any main sights. There are some websites that offer four nights for the price of three.
Unique Quality: Facility wise, there isn't a huge amount, although a good bar and restaurant downstairs. View-wise as you're at the other side of the tunnel, not a lot from the front, but then the people who work at the hotel were brilliant, and very very helpful. There's also free internet in the reception area.
No real criticisms of the hotel, as we just used it as a place to base ourselves and our belongings - everything we needed was nearby.
