Spacious and Clean

This hostel is open only from July -August to accommodate people travelling for the summer season. Staff was very helpful and maps of Old Town were readily available on the counter. Free internet surfing available at the lobby on 2 computers.
Room was very spacious and facing the river. Although trains pass by throughout the night, I had no problem with sleeping. Some people might not like that. Also, they are constructing a new railway a few meters away from the hostel.

Bring your own towels but towel rentals are also available for a minimal fee. Bicycle rental is available but I did not risk it as haven't been on a bike for years.

Unique Quality: 24-hour check in, no curfew. Staff are all young students and very helpful. There is no name plate on the outside of the hotel but from its strawberry color (roof dark red and facade is pink), you will know THAT is the hostel you are looking for.

Where we will spend our wedding night

This hotel truely earns it's four stars! Cosy family atmosphere, friendly personnel. Well, we will spend the night after our wedding party there - while our friends take over our flat. This is the only way to guarantee some hours of sleep ...

Unique Quality: Pleasant city-hotel close to the historic center of Salzburg.

A: "Couldn't say which is more "polite", but I'd say "grüss Gott" is more common."
