Travel Tips for Zell am See

Schloss Prielau

by globetrott

Schloss Prielau is a lovely castle in the north of Zell am See and it is mainly used as a hotel and restaurant nowadays. I went there and had a look around, also the interior is very interesting and the garden-restaurant is a great place to relax far away from the trafic noises.
In the backyard of that hotel there is also an interesting, old church, see it in my 2nd and 3rd photos.
It was interesting for me to learn that this palace is owned by the Porsche-family and the hotelguests can use the hotel's own Porsche Cayenne in wintertime and a Porsche Boxter in summertime !

SALZBURG.

by RobMorgan

Take a day trip to Salzburg, Mozart`s birthplace. The central area/ square reminds me of Rome.
There is even a copy of the famous fountain from Rome there.
Take a romantic ride in a horse & carriage, costs 32Euro for 30mins, the driver gives you a commentary of what you see & also some of the history.

Zell Am See

by i-bella

We had a disappointing holiday in 2006 because the weather was bad. We decided to try again in the summer of 2007 and we were lucky. Not only we were able to do outdoor activities, but the sky was wonderfully blue when I took my pictures.
