I did not stay in this hotel, but my brother did and he enjoyed it a lot. The very best about this hotel is certainly its excellent position directely on the banks of the lake, with its own beach, a beach-promenade and a garden-restaurant directely at the lake.
Unique Quality: You will find the famous Austria fountain made by F.Hundertwasser on the backside of this hotel !

My wife and I did not stay at the Grand Hotel because it was beyond our budget. Anyway, this hotel is supposed to be the best hotel in Zell Am See, and is conveniently located just next to the Zeller See lake with breathtaking views of the lake and surroundings. The park and town centre are just around the corner, and so are the train station and bus stop. The exterior architecture of the Grand Hotel looks very historical and impressive to me.

We didn't stay here, but did visit a couple of times for events. Typical 4 or 5 star larger European resort hotel...excellent service, lots of features and yes... pricey.
If you don't like the small inns that Bonnie and I prefer, the Grand is an excellent choice, both for location and features.
You will find the famous Austria fountain made by F.Hundertwasser on the backside of this hotel !
