The TOLL-road to Grossglockner
by globetrott
Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse is a toll-road and at first sight it looks quite expensive, BUT with that fee you dont only pay for the toll of this scenic alpine road, but in fact this toll includes all of the parking-fees and entry-fees to all museums along the road between Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse and Heiligenblut.
Some of the hotels in the area around the Grossglockner will refund that toll, when you stay with them for a few days

Centuries old Roman style Church .
by dabidc
Zell am See was founded in the 8th Century by monks from Salzburg. The Town is now the chief one in the Pinzgau region and one of the principal resorts in the Salzburg Province.
I spent most of my time hiking or visiting around Zell am see, so I cannot say if the Church is open to the public and what is more to the point ,how may steps to the top.
I guess I went to the top of the mountain to see the views.
Wide slopes
by codrutz
In Zell am See you will find a lot of wide slopes accessible to all type of skiers, beginners, medium or advanced. Even so, there are some places, before a drop, where everybody stops and form a barrier. You have to carefully pass them in order not to bring down somebody with you.
In case of accidents medics will come shortly, in Austria this is very well organized, they have helicopters and all. But of course try to avoid direct impacts and hard falls.
