Obsthof Probst: Farm stay
Actually we chose this accomodation because it was the only available room in whole Gamlitz. We weren`t disappointed though, the room was clean and of a good size, just the furniture was a bit old fashioned. It is a farm house, not far from the centre of Gamlitz. They grow fruits, mostly apples, and sell their own products, like applejuice, "Most" (similar to cider), liquors and Kernöl (pumpkin seed oil, which is typical for this area of Austria). The double room costs about 40 EUR per night, the not very special breakfast included.

Tschermoneg: just one example
There are enough B&B along the Wine Road and you should absolutely stay in one of them when you have done an intense wine tasting - the Austrian police is very strict when they detect you driving with more than 0,5 promille of alcohol in your blood. You will have to pay astronomic fines and they will take your drivers licence at the spot.
The place where we stayed was perfectly OK and so are all the others - and everywhere you can taste the local wines together with tasty local snacks.
