Will it still be snowing
by macbradley
in early March when my husband and I will be in Graz. He thinks I need to bring waterproof shoes/boots due to the snow. Do you think this is wise? I was under the impression that Graz would be experiencing spring at that time. Perhaps the western part of Austria would still have snow? We may visit that region also.
Thanks for your help.

Travel Tips for Graz
Lovely streets
by matcrazy1
Walk, walk and walk around Graz and admire its lovely streets with beautiful, colorful houses with flowers in windows, a lot of flowers.
When I was there on Sunday summer morning the city looked empty: no traffic, no tourists, just a few pedastrians.
Riverside walks
by orlikins
Take time out to walk along the river Mur, there are loads of lovely nature trails out of the city. Or even hire a bike and follow the river trails. Puntigammer Radler, Tiramisu icecream,Cokky Nr 1 cookies .... trust me to focus on the food....
The Ottomans rule
by croisbeauty
In a very short period the town of Graz was under the Ottomans rule. Their main goal was to conquest Vienna, but with no succes at all. Not many traces of the Ottoman's rule can be seen in Graz today, this well in Schlossberg is one of the rare examples.
I do not remember whos statue represent this monument, probably one of the Ottomans sultans or generals.
a great inner-court in Sporgasse 22
by globetrott
Sporgasse is one of the most interesting small streets in the pedestrian area of Graz and it leads from Herrengasse and Hauptplatz towards the Schlossberg (castle). Whenever you are walking through Graz, you should not hesitate to take a look for the innercourts, whenever you find an open door - this style in architecture reminds me a lot of the courts of my hometown Steyr ( no wonder - Steiermark used to belong to Steyr and many architects simply might have copied the medieval houses of the "hometown" Steyr...The picture of this innercourt was taken in Sporgasse Nr. 22
Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum
by aramat
Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Graz and became famous in the US as a body builder and actor. He is a citizen of honour of Graz and the city's new stadium was named after him as well. As he was elected governor of California on 7th October 2003, the Museum showing his early career will probably attract even more interest.
The Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum is located in the Fitness Center Fitnessparadies, at Stadionplatz 1.
