Classic Hotel in Graz
The Weitzer is a 4* classic international hotel. It's still owned and managed by the Weitzer family of which guests are reminded by the portraits of the family members in the corridors. It is in the historic centre of Graz and walking distance from all sights (except perhaps the Castle Eggenberg, but even that's not too far.)
I wasn't hundred percent happy with the quality though, probably because - the Weitzer being the largest hotel in Graz - the staff is just too busy to pay attention to every little detail: one lamp didn't work in our room, the housekeeper cleaned the bathroom, but left our clothes and things in a mess, and the breakfast buffet wasn't really up to my expectations (based on experiences in similar German and Austrian hotels). But the location and the atmosphere made up for these little inconveniences and I would stay again in the Weitzer.
Unique Quality: The best feature of the hotel is the location: the best rooms look on the river and the Schlossberg and the old town. The rest of the rooms look on a quiet street. Sauna and steambath as well as an open terrace for sunbathing and relaxing is available.
