Rohrmooser Schlössl: Hotel with a view over Schladming
A nice small 3 star hotel in a quiet area overlooking the town of Schladming. It has a good restaurant serving typical Austrian fare and a bar area which flows out to a nice outdoor patio.
The rooms are spacious and have balconies which overlook the town. Other facilities include a sauna and tanning studio.
The hotel may not be suitable for the elderly as it is situated on the side of the hill, and while the walk into town is not too taxing, it does require a climb up a hill.
I found it to be excellent value for money, especially for the single traveller. It also provides the Summer Card (in summer) which saves on gondola rides, entry fees and transport.
Unique Quality: Great views and excellent value. Rooms can be booked on a 'half pension' basis which provides breakfast and dinner.

Haus Erlbacher: Perfect peaceful harmony
A very nice and comfortable family house.
It's located in the district "Untere Klaus", you can reach the center of Schladming and the skiing area by skibus or in a nice 15-20 min walk.
The owning family is extremely friendly. International guests welcome!
The rooms are comfortable and clean - perfect! And the breakfast is just Yummy!
Unique Quality: Rooms as well as apartments.
Ski-bus stop in front of the house.
Extremely friendly atmosphere.
