I was intrigued by the name. It looked good on the net so I went ahead and made the reservation for a 'room with a view.'
And whatta view. Three floors below, gushed the might River Inn. Tweny feet away fro the hotel was a charming 'bruck' (bridge). It led to the Old Town. I had picked well.
Excellent service, great views. On a scale of 1-10, a solid 12.5.

After we arrived from Wien we took a taxi from the station to this hotel, we had no reservations but it was still early in the season, a chance that the hotel wouldn't be fully booked, it wasn't! Topp had stayed here before, which is why we went straight here.
We were lucky in that they had a room available and with a view of the river too.
And what a view we had, the sounds of the river rushing past is a great sleep inducer.

The breakfast was included in the hotel price, and there was quite a selection of breads, cheeses, hams and fruits. A typical 'Continental' breakfast.
One day we were quite late getting to breakfast and the hostess was already clearing away, we felt guilty, but she was more than willing to bring us what we wanted. Which was nice!
We even met with the hotel owner, who remembered Topp from his previous stay, and she told us of some of the things to see and do in Innsbruck. She was a lovely lady.

Unfortunately I did not take any photographs of the hotel itself, although I did intend to take one of the sign, which was hanging outside. It was one of those old copper signs, kind of like times gone by...
However, I would really recommend staying here, even if it is one of the more expensive places to stay in Innsbruck. The staff were very pleasant, the breakfast was lovely, and the room was comfortable, clean and had great views.
You'll be welcomed by the reception staff and you'll feel all the warm this hotel has to give you. Rooms are big enough for 2 people and in case you are alone, they are even more big. Wireless internet is available at the reception with a charge, for example 60 minutes costed me 2 EUR.
Shower/bath tub are separated from the wc and they are pretty big and nice. TV and minibar are available inside the room.
