Gasthof Innbrücke
In a great position overlooking the River Inn and, as the name suggests, close to a bridge.
A small but clean and comfortable en-suite for us and pretty quiet at night too. A decent buffet breakfast included in the price and there's a small, friendly bar for a drink in the evenings.
On the downside there is no lift - it's a very old building, and the entrance is a little scary, there's just a small footpath and then a busy road outside - ok once you're used to it.

Two steps from the Old City
Gasthof Innbrucke offered great service and clean rooms. The only slight mishap came when we arrived; we had rented 2 double rooms for the 4 of us but the reservation had been made for only 1 room. Fortunately, we had printed a copy of the e-mail confirmation, and even more fortunately, there was one vacant room left for the clerk to give us when we showed him the printed e-mail.
One final note: as in all medieval, vertically-inclined buildings, steps may be a challenge for those whose room is on the second or third floor.
Unique Quality: The reservation mixup turned out to be a blessing: me and my girlfriend got this outstanding room on the top floor overlooking the Inn river and the Old City. The ceiling was low, but the view was great!
The hotel is cheaper than average because it is not in the Old City. If you don't mind taking a 2-minute walk across the Innbrücke (a great place to take pictures from anyway) to the Old City, I recommend taking advantage of the hotel's outstanding location.
A buffet breakfast with a good selection is included in the price.
