One final note: as in all medieval, vertically-inclined buildings, steps may be a challenge for those whose room is on the second or third floor.
The reservation mixup turned out to be a blessing: me and my girlfriend got this outstanding room on the top floor overlooking the Inn river and the Old City. The ceiling was low, but the view was great!
The hotel is cheaper than average because it is not in the Old City. If you don't mind taking a 2-minute walk across the Innbrücke (a great place to take pictures from anyway) to the Old City, I recommend taking advantage of the hotel's outstanding location.
A buffet breakfast with a good selection is included in the price.
