The hotel is a ten minute stroll to the Old Town. Prices for Tyrolean clothing were lower and of better quality in the hotel area than in the main shopping district. Tiroler Heimatwerk, which features authentic handcrafted Tyrolean items, is on the way to the Old Town and worth a stop. For those looking for picnic items, there is a grocery store on the bottom floor of the train station.
Service at the hotel is impeccable with a knowledgeable staff that is fluent in English. Britain’s Queen Elizabeth visited here and you get the feeling that the proprietor will treat you the same way. At the same time, the hotel can be a bargain.
