Ski your heart out
by maryamy
Fantastic area to ski or snowboard, with all sorts of levels of difficulty. It is varied and fun. I went here for my first ski trip and loved it. It is where Hakenheim downhill races take place. The Kitzbhuler horn is no easier, not for me at least.

Alfons Walde (1891-1958) was a famous austrian painter and architect and in the Stadtmuseum of Kitzbühel you will be able to see 30 of his paintings. Take a look at them and you will realize that he uses a really quite unique style. Most of his paintings are showing the landscape around Kitzbühel and the rural life.

Kitbühel/Kirchberg
by Slager6
This is one of the best skiing regions in Austria. The Kitbühel Alps have such a complex network of lifts that they form the largest skiing complex in the country! I spent a weekend here in the fall of 2001 and I also spent the holidays here in December of 2001. Spending the holidays here was definately memorable for me, even though i wasn't at home with my family. This is an area worth checking out, whether one skis or not!
