Kaisertal - Tishofer cave
by desert_princess
Not really a cave in the proper sense of the word ,or at least not the way I imagined it , the Tishofer Cave is located in the steep rocky wall over the river ( see the second pic ) , and is acessed by a weaving narrow trail. Rather a cavity than a cave , the place is round and spacious and there are no hidden galleries on the back. It reminds me more of a huge amphitheater. There are no stalactites or stalacmites ,but you can set a fire or spend the night - there are enough options for that.
I fell in love with Kufstein

"Hidden behind the Tirrol mountains"
When touring around Germany I came across this small town, called Kufstein, just over the Austrian border.
I instantly fell in love with Kufstein- such a beautiful place. The town is located overlooking the River at the foot of the Tirol mountains, nestled within green vegetation and with a medievel castle as the prominent feature.
"Picture postcard scenery"
Kufstein sits alongside the River at the base of the Tirol Mountains.
The scenery is beautiful with the river meandering through the fir trees and the snow capped mountains in the distance.
"Kufstein rooftops from the castle"
Walk up to the medeival castle, look through the turrets and the view over the Kufstein rooftops towards the Tirol mountains is fabulous.
