The Bergmahder trail from Brandberg up to Kolmhaus at a height of 1845m is a trail thriugh a cultural landscape that has been used for centuries on the sunny side of the Zillertal Alps. The mountain pastures around the Brandenberg sun village made up the base for agriculture in the nature preserve municipality for a long time. Mown and wild meadows, forests and pastures, lime and ancient rock create the conditions for a rich variety of flora along the Bergmahder trail. Not only will you be rewarded with many a colourful alpine flowers such as orchids or gentians for the laborius ascent, but also the gorgeous mountain view of the Zillertaler Alps.
