Arlberg is the perfect place for Skiing with plenty of great lifts, funiculars and chairlifts. This is not a place that everybody may afford to go for skiing, so the queues at the lifts are not so long, but the general price-level is also a lot higher than at the rest auf Austria.
Be aware of the fact, that this part of Austria could be totally "cut off" all means of transportation all of a sudden at any time in winter, when he snowfall is so heavy that the road cannot be used for several days and when no helicopter will be able to startbecause of heavy winds and snowfalls.
