Hotel Theresia

St Johann's quiet Gast Haus just right for me.

It was early October and there were few visitors to St Johann and no more that 6 visitors staying at Hotel Theresia. Several of the hotels were in the process of closing for the season.

The main attraction at the Gast Haus was the breakfast buffet, a great choice from meats to cheese, boiled eggs, cereal, and Muessli, rolls bread and toast, fruit and juices by the carafe.

The Lady of the hotel was very helpful and understood my limited German.

I had a quiet room albeit small but adequate for my needs.

On the last morning I talked to a couple on a motorcycle, who were returning home to the Zuerich area after a visit to Venice. We parted and I took the train to Bludenz, they to drive throigh Innsbruck to Zuerich. After Innsbruck it rained heavily, I wondered if they would stop or continue their journey.

Unique Quality: Apart from the hospitality there was a balcony to the room which afforded an excellent view of the Wilder Kaiser in its many moods, but especially in the morning light.
