Always say 'Gross Gott' to the cows
by steevie_wanders
It's always pleasant to say hi to the cows. In Austria the polite form is 'Gross Gott' (Austrians please correct me on my spelling).
The cows appreciate it and once you get to know them, they sometimes will play you 'jingle bells' using their own neck bells.

Scheffau

"The Wonderful Lake"
We saw little of Scheffau the smallest of the villages in the Going Valley our main purpose on a beautiful Summer's day was to see the magical Hintersteinersee - a long name whose translation was lost to me :) I dd find out hinter means behind and see means lake! If anyone can enlighten me on the middle = steiner I would greatly appreciate the complete translation. Simply in English for me a place of great natural beauty and a day spent completely in my element.
Scenic Scheffau

The little village of Scheffau, just a few kilometres away from Ellmau, has a delightful setting beneath the Wilder Kaiser mountains. A short hike up the hill from the village will briing you to the mountain lake of Hintersteinersee.
