VT member William1982 has an answer here:

You might want to write him to ask more details.

The distance is 2 kms.
Took me 5 minutes to find the answer.

Our friend Google provides this:
http://www.silberregion-karwendel.at/schwaz/

Then you turn to www.viamichelin.com for the route from station to silvermine address, and it comes up with a distance of 2 kms.

Here's your route:

A map of the bus route from Schwaz Bahnhof (railway station) to Schwaz Silberbergwerk (silver mine): http://efa.vvt.at/schwaz/FILELOAD?Filename=vvt_46A3AEAF5.pdf

Schwaz Silver Mine’s website: http://www.silberbergwerk.eu/eng/index.html

On the above-mentioned website show the slowly bus connections between the railway station and the silver mine.

Unless I'm missing something. Am I?

Travel Tips for Schwaz

Schwaz

"Schwaz - Silvertown"

Schwaz has a nice old centre, but is specially known as "Silberstadt" (Silvertown) because of the sivermines. More information about Schwaz and the region is at: http://www.schwaz.at/content/index.php

"Burg Freundsberg"

From the castel "Burg Freundsberg" is not much left. A tower and a little curch are still memories at this place.

"Schwaz"

This pub or restaurant is situated between the main street and the Pfundplatz. Good place to have a drink !
