Travel Tips for Seefeld in Tirol

Skiing

by Madschick

The area around Seefeld is great for skiing and even better for cross-country skiing! There are hundreds of km of cross country ski runs and it won't be boring, since you can pick one or more each day!

Very quiet in June

by Turska

"Are we only young people in town :D"

My father said this is a lively and nice village. Actaully in June it was quit "dead". When we found a place to stay, we went to find some food. There was only two resataurants open, and another one looked like closing soon (it was around 20 o´clock or something). So we went to that one, where we saw one family eating at the table.
All the other people we saw, were at least 70 years. Afte we ate, we walked at the mainstreet (?) and met one young coupple. We didn´t talk, but you could see them laughing with us, not TO us, when we all figured out, that we are only "young" people here.
My parents have been here in some kind of spring-break-time, so it must have been different.
Also the winter-season is lively, I belive!

Seefeld im Tirol

by rebibi

"A quaint village"

Seefeld lies at 1200 m above sea level. It's an excellent starting-point for many hikes and also for a short trip to Innsbruck or Garmisch-Partenkirchen (both places within about a half-an-hour drive).

Seefeld itself offers a pedestrian zone in the old town and many hotels.

Tthey also have a little lake, called Wildsee, a real invitation to walk around.

The weekend we visited Seefeld we were lucky to attend the annual flower-corso (see travelogue)

"Details of a windwow"

Nowhere else but in Tirol and South-Tirol I found so many blooming flowers in front of the windows. and how they take care of them!

"What a home!"

On our walk from the hotel to the pedestrian area we came across this beautiful home.
Too bad it doesn't belong to me....
