    • Deuring Schlössle is a 17th-century Baroque style mini-castle, high in the old town. If you do not have a car then expect a long walk back up to your room at night from the village-and it's all uphill! This is definitely the most expensive place to stay in town-but if you have a royalty complex then it might be the one for you.

    The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport and the rail station. English is spoken and Internet service is available. A very nice, pricey restaurant is located in the hotel. Ask to see the wine cellar-it's pretty nifty.

    I found this pension through the festival website. Perfectly normal place, nice people, nice breakfast, quite centrally located, easy walk from the harbor, the festival grounds and the railroad station. And it's only about a block and a half from the lower station of the Pfänder cabin lift.

    • This hotel is a member of a popular French hotel chain. Unlike some of the other hotels in town, it is very modern (without character I think). It's in the same building as the local casino. The rooms pretty much all look alike and range on the small side, although some have balconies. The hotel's restaurant, Le Gourmet, also operates an inexpensive cafeteria. If you stay in the summer you can enjoy sitting out on the large umbrella-shaded terrace for drinks and food.

    • Set in a park like area, this business-oriented 76-room hotel is a 20-minute walk to the lake (read: far) but the local bus stops at the front door and leaves every 15 minutes.

    Indoor swimming pool, sauna, tanning bed and Jacuzzi. Bike rentals available.

    The 4-LÃnder Hotel Deutschmann is a very good three stars superior hotel located just 2 Km from the downtown of Bregenz. The rooms are clean and they have got showers, hair dryer and Sat TV. The morning breakfast is very good!!! Friendly staff.

    We tend to keep going back to the same places when it comes to accommodations. This is, in my opinion, the best place to stay in Bregenz. We always get a nice (large) ensuite room for three and a good breakfast. It is located very close to the shopping, but a bit of a walk from the train station. If you have luggage then I suggest you take a taxi.

    The three bed room is large, the bathroom large (with a bidet), and the hostess extremely friendly. She usually has reading material in the small library and will lend you a hairdryer if you're in need. The hotel itself is small and tidy and on the quiet side, so don't stay here if you're expecting to be entertained. The furnishings tend to be on the personal side, which is nice if you're traveling around a lot. The rates are some of the best in town, around 30 euros per person per night, depending on the season.     Room was very clean, bathroom with great power shower. Hotel was very quiet, with a very good buffet service for breakfast.

    It is only 50m from the shores of Lake Constance, and also only a stone's throw from the venue of the Bregenz Festspiele. Next door to the casino.

    For students - hostel (called here Jugendherberge), because it is cheaper. If money is not a question try a some of the hotels in the old part of the town.
