Sure norman...go ahead,
Best regards,
Joe of Malta - Rockaria

And Joe writes about this amazing picture he has:

“Although its a pic of my back, its quite stunning…Motocross is a bone shaking experience......all you have to do is let the bike do all the talking and hold on until the race is finished........thats about it really!”

Joe of Malta - Rockaria

Joe of Malta - Rockaria also has another amazing jumping picture in his online album entitled “My Favourite Waste of Time”

On this picture with caption “Always first to take the plunge!”, Joe wrote:

“Adventure is an inborn feeling in everyman or woman i suppose......climb the highest mountain....swim the english channel.....go round the world in a balloon.....go on mars.....So jumping in the sea head first from the highest position does not make me crazy does it!”

Joe of Malta - Rockaria

Hi Norman,

thanks for your email.

That’s a great idea to picture jumping people. I can not remember to have a jumping picture from myself. I'm a runner and triathlete and jumping makes me loose traction to the ground. ;-))

But one with the arms raised up I can offer. It's from a fun run event, annually held in Zurich, called the Silvesterlauf (Newyears eve-run), in reality it's in early december and not on Dec 31.

I will try to keep your idea in mind and one day I may able to send you the jumping Loisl.

Happy hunting for more jumpers
Peter of Sargans, Switzerland - loisl

Hi Norman!

Jumping is very popular at winter time around the Swiss Alps! So choose your jump and let's fly with ski and style ;-)

Snowy greetings from the Alps!

Patrick of Switzerland aka Tripack

The JumpingFamily had fun with VTer EllenH
and her husband Joe when they were in Arizona
VT Meet November 7, 2009
We talked about their trip to Croatia,
and the next day I looked at her wonderful Croatia pages
and I saw an amazing jumping picture!
EllenH Mon Nov 9, 2009 00:28 MST
The jumping picture is all yours but you know we did not know these people…(Ellen wrote about this amazing picture: “These two kids stood out on this rock for a long time before one of them finally got the nerve to jump. The crowds were cheering him on. So on a hot day if you get the urge, jump off the ledge in Dubrovnik. You would never see me do this but it was fun to watch.”)

Ellen of Hamilton, Montana, USA - EllenH

JumpingNorman says: Excellent jumping shot you caught on camera and it was nice meeting you and Joe, Ellen!

Found it (referring to a picture with arms raised taken in Berlin)

2) Souvenirs of the world !!!

by Umfufu

"Mike's Darri"

This is a souvenir that i brought back home with me from Morocco. Whilst looking round the shops in Essaouira my friends took me into this one where the owner put this 'Darri' on for me. I have never worn anything like this before but we had a great laugh in the shop and my friends bought it as a present for me. I wore it for the rest of the night and felt very Moroccan. I didnt care that i got some very strange looks, especially when i decided to put my sunglasses on as well. I even learnt how to put it on, but ive not wore it since, id wear it anytime in Morocco but its not quite the same wearing it in UK!

Wanna see more Mike (Khoya_Mike)in Morocco click here and go to his Marroco page.

"Sandra's suite"

Here is a picture of my (SandravdP) boyfriend in a typical Indian suite. This picture is taken on a boat on the holy river "The Ganges" in Varanasi (Benares).

Sandra went to India in 2000, she has been to a lot of place so if you are interested take a LOOK

"Sabine's jacket"

My favourite souvenir is a Mongolian jacket. I have never been to Mongolia but it is still a souvenir because I bought it on one of my "journeys around the world" at the world exhibition Expo 2000 in my hometown Hannover.
It was the day before my birthday when we walked around Expo and went into a mongolian tent where clothes were sold. I saw this jacket and said "I'd kill for this jacket!" because I thought it was way too expensive.
When I found out that it only cost 100 DMs I borrowed some money from a friend immediately (he gave it to me quickly because he heard that I said that I'd kill for the jacket ;-) So I bought my nicest birthday present myself!!!
People make fun of my because they say I look like I play the trumpet in a circus or something but I love this jacket. It'll always remind me of the great time when the world came to visit Hannover....

Sabine (Sabsi) had a good time at the EXPO 2000 you can walk with her at her homepage

"Marie's Icon"

The item in the photo is an icon that I bought while I was in St Petersburg. It was designed for the new Millenium and was purchased at the Cathedral of The Trinity near the Alexander Nevsky Monastery. It brings back memories of a dear female friend that I met in St Petersburg. Although she spoke very little English and I even less Russian words, we managed to communicate with the aid of a dictionary!

If you want to have a look at Marie's (Cheekymarie) travels, you better start at her homepage cause she has been to a lot of places.

"Chiara's Indian compilation"

Here is my souvenirs pic which honestly doesn't satisfy me for quality and I'm sure you agree, eh, eh ;-)))... I'm terrible in trying to organize things in an artistical composition not to mention how I took it... but Umfufu asked me for it so kindly that I couldn't disappoint her request... so please just turn your attention on the interesting objects which are real Native American handicraft I got during my trips to Canada or as presents from Canada...
The vase is a piece of Iroquois pottery, more precisely Mohawk, one of the six nations of the Iroquois confederation: this is an hand-made replica of the ancient pottery. The pottery symbolizes the earth as it's made from the earth. The geometric designs represent the earth 's surface and was made by a Mohawk Potter - Gah-loon-yah-day - Six Nations Reserve, Ontario, Canada.
The drawing "Spirit Riders" of which my pic doesn't show the spirits on the horses... was painted by Marquerite Fields who began to draw horses by the age of 4 and whose paintings were inspired by her innate love and respect for Indians. It comes from British Columbia while the canoe is Navajo handicraft.
The spoons earrings, in the pic hung on the drawing, are hand made by Fred Myra of the Raven-Wolf clan and member of the Tlingit tribe, which I was said were the first creators of native art. On them are engraved Hummingbirds, the most romantic of all native figures, symbol of love, beauty and intelligence, a hard, fast worker with boundless energy. They come from Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.
A Man-del-la, on the left of the pic, hang in your entrance is a sign of peace and brings prosperity.
Last but not least a knick-knack shaped like the feathered hat which the chiefs of the tribe wore and it's a Monague craft.
I do like American Indians traditions for which I have the highest respect so I do hope that nothing of what I was said or read or got to know and I reported here is wrong...

Chiara (Pollon) didnt bought most of her souvenirs in the USA but she had been in Montana for a start you could have a look at that page.

"Sand of Myriam"

Since we first travelled outside Europe we have started to collect sand. In our collection we have sand from the Caribbean, from northern Africa, West Africa, East Africa and Asia. I hope that within 5 or 10 years I will need a large table for my collection :-)

Myriam collected sand from the Caribbean, so take a look at her Dominican Republic page from which beach she got it.

"Card of Joaquin"

This is a souvenir from Kerala (India). It is a banyan tre leave with designs made out of palm trees.

Joquin (SirRichard) have send me a lot of souvenirs, he has been to a lot of nice places in this world, so currious? Take a look overhere and see all the places he travelled to.

"More from Joaquin"

Here are some TShirts from madrid.

This stone souvenirs are from Capadocia (Turkey). They reproduce the stone formations, as the ones of the background.

There are a lot of interesting things to buy in China. From pottery to silk, from oriental medicines to papercuts, like the one in the photo. The best place to buy them is in Beijing, as you normally leave the country by plane from the capital city; besides, they are not much cheaper elsewhere.
They come in little books of about 20 with classical chinese topics.

Here are some souvenirs from Namibia to start my collaboration. Stones, necklaces made out of tree-seeds, petrified woods, dolls, wooden animals...

"Ann's Card"

Well I raked my brain to try to come up with a souviner and I guess this would be my only one. I've just started collecting spoons but that's too boring for your travelogue haha. Anyway, the story behind this one is. It's a postcard from Moorea, Tahiti. It's special because it's a pic of the PR man William where we stayed. He was excellant at arranging activities and very friendly too. So when I saw him on the postcard, I had to buy it and take it home for happy memories of our holiday there.

Ann's nickname is Aussierose so where do you think she lives???? Wanna know??? Take a look!

"Sue's Elephants"

Here are my elephants that we got in Thailand and a little something I wrote.
"These porcelain hand painted elephants represent the country of Thailand. Made in Bangkok, they are the size of a hand and are maticulate in their design. As you can see from the photo, these three represent a family.

Seunyy2 is also a souvenircollector, she have send me a lot of them and i like them all. Her pages are also worth watching

"Sue's poppets"

"The Matryoshka are painted tradional Russian wooden dolls nestled into one another hand made and painted. We got them from Munich at the Christkindlesmart."

"Al's Sprite"

Here is a souvenier I took home from Thailand, it is a can or Sprite, and the reason I kept it was because I think that the letters on it look like my name - Alison! What do you think!

Al was in Thailand in 1999 and 2000. She made some nice pages about it, which you may like.

"Sue's dragonfan"

"This is a large fan with the traditional Chinese spirits of the Dragon. In the mythology of various Oriental countries the dragon is the supreme spiritual power, the most ancient emblem in Oriental mythology. Oriental Dragons represent celestial and terrestrial power, wisdom, and strength. It was hand painted on a beautiful light, but strong fabric. It hangs over our bed for good luck. It is our souvenir from Malaysia."

"Sue's plane"

"This is the Qantas B747-400 "Wunala Dreaming" airplane that we flew from Sydney, Australia to the Island of Hong Kong. This is considered one of the best and most well known paint jobs by any airliners world wide. My Fiance collects Model Planes."

"Cristian and Petra's reminder"

Because they have so much on their minds, for this big trip of 4 weeks, they didnt had the time to send me a special souvenir. They have plenty of them, so they promised to send me a souvenir when they come back...till that time ....there is this note on their PC.

Petra1 (Christian and Petra) have been to a lot of nice places, so if you wonder where they have been, start in Santa Cruz by click on the name.

"Pascal's 2 in 1"

First my t-shirt, you may have recognize Che Guevera, this is a t-shirt I bought in Budapest. Well he's not a hungarian and Hungary is not communist anymore, but the t-shirt looks cool! Also I'm wearing my chain with a crucifix that I bouth in St.Paul's Basilica in Rome. We (me and my friend) were really looking for a small chain with a crucifix in Rome, but in the Vatican all we can find was "chapelet" so we were very happy to find them.

Pascal's page (Lavep) about Rome you can visite by clicking on the blue Rome.

"Geoff's neckless"

This gold pendant and necklace was given to me by one of my Omani students as a present before returning home in 1977. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of the person who so generously gave it to me, but I treasure this souvenir of Oman very highly as it is a reminder of a wonderful country. I sometimes even wear it!

Geoff_wright has four horses and his favorite horse is Silverdolly who eats pepermints from Geoffs mouth!!!

"Randall's can"

Hello Yvette. I am sending a picture to you of a can of Hawaiian Air I bought on My first Trip to Hawaii. It will be the front and back. I tell My Kids when I am ready to Die this will Be My last Air to Breathe. Even though I think it was made in another Country Maybe they Ship a big tank of Air to the other Country to put in Cans. Ha, Ha, But its the My Last Air when I get ready to die. Aloha. It has the instructions to use it. Bye. Randall Burt.

Randall_Burt bought this can on his trip to Hawaii, you have to take a look at his 2 year old son on the beach, its a cool kid!

"Carlo's ticket"

A Thanksgiving weekend in Madrid was an unforgetable memory. Who would ever thought I would be rubbing elbows with Spanish socialites and royalties (well almost) at the premiere gala of LA BELLE DURMIENTE in Teatro Real? In my hotel room, I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, and thinking in a few hours I'll be heading back to New York City (bummer!). It
was my last night and why not make the most of it? I got up, put on my pants, shirt and coat and said goodbye to the walls. I headed towards Puerta del Sol turned left and walked through Calle del Arenal. I saw a big crowd in front of Teatro Real and behind those police barriers, one spectator told me they were waiting for the arrival of Queen Sofia. I said,
''Wow''! I've never seen a real Queen in my life (lol)! But, there was no way I could take a glance on her with this big crowd. So, I backed out and sat on the bench away from the crowd. Five minutes later, a distinguised man wearing a tuxedo walked towards me and asked
me if I wanted to see the show. Without any hesitations (which I didn't even think he would joke), I said yes, and he handed me his extra ticket free! (You can enlarge the evidence with envy.) He briskly walked back to the theatre and yelled back at me ''I'll see you in
there''. As I walked in front of Teatro Real, a guard stopped me and asked my ticket. I showed it to him and he waved at one of the ushers standing by the main door. The usher escorted me to the second floor (as I was planning ahead of what to do if I get arrested
for possession of a fake ticket). He opened the door to the tier box and the man who gave me the ticket was there and gave me a thumb up. The Royal box was just three tier box away where I was sitting in; one of the best seats and most importantly, the best view of Queen
Sofia. A lesson for you, never leave without your camera!

Pinoy's travel to Spain can been seen if you click on the Spain.

"Eddy's RAF Symbol"

The Royal Air Force Ferry Command later known as the RAF Transport Command and later as 45 Group consisted of hundreds of civilian employees world wide and The headquarters was Dorval but we had many Out-bases world wide. Civilian air crews intermixed with Air Force personnel from all the Allied Countries example--BRITISH Air Crews, civilian air crews from all over many from the Airline Companys who had ocean flying experience. Americain air crews who volunteered before th USA entered the war, Polish. Free French, New Zealanders. Austrailians Canadians etc. Many of these air crews in the later years had completed several tours of duty in the front line of battle ( many decorated with "DFC and BAR" and were now flying the ocean to deliver planes to the battle fronts. This was at great risk to themselves as many were lost over the ocean or in crashes. The Book " OCEAN BRIDGE" By Carl.A. Christie TELLS THEIR STORY.

Simonne and Eddy made a page about a AIRSHOW, you can see all that picure overhere

"Natik's carpet"

Natik didnt had a lot to tell me about this carpets....its a special souvenir from his country and as you could read at Rachel_Suns carpet, it take hours to make a beautifull carpet like this.

Natik lives in Baku That is in the Middle East, go and have a look.
