In the year of 2009 we had an unexpected visit to St. Gallenkirch. Of course we tried to stay in our regular guesthouse (Haus Traversina), but this was fully booked. So we ‘moved’ a couple of hundred meters to one of the relatives of our hosts in Haus Simone.
Haus Simone is a rather small accommodation with only two apartments. We had the smaller one for two or three people with one bed/sitting room (just a small booth), modern kitchen and very neat bathroom. Both apartments are on the ground floor with direct access to a terrace (with chairs), which offer great views of the valley, mountains and St. Gallenkirch. Haus Simone is also located on the sunny side of the valley.
Although family Tschofen ‘just’ offer apartments for rent, we had breakfast as well in their home. This was very well with juice, various bread, fillings - with home made jams, egg , yoghurt and fruit. All was served on a nice decorated breakfast table.
All together we were very satisfied with our second accommodation in Montafon and for sure we will stay again if necessary.
We have been visiting Hedy and Manfred Fiel for many many years. And it is always if we are coming 'home'.
A warm welcome (of course with a 'Schnaps') is waiting on you. The hosts are very helpful, friendly and interested in your activities of the day. In the evenings you read a book or play a game, perhaps with Hedy. If you want to look TV in your room, it has a modern flat screen TV with about 40 channels.
Breakfast is typical Austrian, so don't expect a wild start of your (ski)day.
Haus Traversina has 4 rooms and 1 apartment.
All the rooms do have a balcony with great views across the mountains and the Montafon Valley. It is situated above the village of St. Gallenkirch on the sunny side of the valley.
Apartment is located on the groundfloor and has a living/dining room with TV, small kitchen, bedroom and a beautiful bathroom.
The warmth and the hospitality of real 'Montafoners'
Haus Traversina is located on the sunny side of the valley with great views towards the mountains.
