Hotel Wimberger

This great traditional hotel is just about 500 meters from the trainstation "Westbahnhof" The only problem might be for some people the location directely at the Guertel with the most heavy trafic in Vienna ( but they also have some rooms to the inner-court) Another problem is the fact that the redlight-area starts there with strange bars and shops, but at least without any harrassment in the streets

Hotel Wimberger has its own garage and offers free internet for the guests

Directions: When you are leaving Westbahnhof, go to the left, cross Felberstrasse and 2 more streets along the Guertel. As soon as you get to a Wienerwald-restaurant you cross the Guertel and are directely at the hotel

Bundesland Wien Hotels and Accommodations

It is located near the "Naschmarkt" the city's oldest and largest fruit/vegetable market and it offers good value accommodation. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the food was very good. My only complain is the elevator.. it takes 3 seconds to run 3 floors but only after approximately 10 seconds will the lazy doors open :))

Directions: The hotel looks a little antiqued... but is in the Karntergasse, two minutes from Opera, five minutes from StephansPlatz...

We stay there for 4 nights, and it was the best choice we can made. Located very close to the main international train station (West Bahnhof) and very close to the metro line (U Bahn), it was very easy to reach all the main interests. Also, is located near the Mariahilferstrasse wich is the main comercial street. Very cheap and clean, very friendly hosts. Facilities include internet acces (huh it could be cheaper!, it was 2 EURper hour!). U can cook your own meal, but, be aware, some gays around may like to see u crazy (well, let's just say that to much salt in someone's food it could be a good one for some others, but not for that person). If I would stay again here? U can bet on it!

Clean, easy to reach location, easy to go from here to everywhere, good neighborhood. What I don' like? It look's like they forget the reservation sometimes. So better check your's three times before, just in case :p
