We want to go off from Vienna for some cycling. Any ideas about secure and inexpensive parking for a week or two?
The airport has long-term parking but not inexpensive; however, secure and inexpensive do not go together!
13th and 14th district,that is (almost) all the sidestreets of the mainroad going from the western highway A1 to the city of Vienna !
You really have to look at each space there for the regulations, but mostly there is nothing to pay and I had my motorhome there once for 6 months at the same place and had no problem, although my licenceplate was not from Vienna at that time.
As soon as you get inside the Gürtel-area and around Stadthalle is a zone where parking is restricted and expensive !
Wiener schnitzel is one of the most traditional Austrian dishes. It is usually made with veal but you can get it in other variations like chicken, turkey, beef etc... The meat is covered in breadcrumbs and then fried.
I had chicken schnitzel which was really good. You can stop in a pub or fast food pizzeria/ restaurant to try it.

St. Stephen's is hands down the largest cathedral I have ever seen. It is impossible to get the whole structure into on picture frame.
The interior is dark and very gothic with impressive stained glass windows. It was way too dark inside to even think about a photo without the use of a tripod.
Check out the Schloss Schönbrunn. It is very beautiful and the gardens are really pretty. It's a nice place to stop for lunch too.
Self guided tours of the rooms costed AS90 (22 rooms) or AS120 (40 rooms) when we were there. It includes a personal audio guide.
I think children pretty enjoy this activities in Rathaus. The hall is separeted in many rooms and in every of them is different type of handicraft as cooking cookies, painting pictures, sewing and so on. They are very cute. People can buy their products.
Our favorite was a cute girl making some cookies.
