Hi all you wonderful, nice, and informative Viennphiles!
I may want to take a day trip to some interesting place , but I don't want to spend any more than 2 hours maximum one-way in traveling. I will use public transportation.
Any suggestions?
Within two hours of Vienna, there are quite a lot of possibilities:
Brno (Czech Republic)
Sopron or Györ (Hungary)
Bratislava (Slovakia)
Rax, Krems an der Donau, Linz, St Pölten, Baden (Austria)
Not sure what time of year you are going... That might help decide it!

I'm going 5-12->5-21-06.
I'm hoping that that time of year won't present any weather travel problems. Any preferences from the list you suggested? I'd do probably just one out of town day trip since there is so much to see in Vienna.
