A hotel selected for the EuroFM Board
The hotel was selected, to accommodate the board members of the European Facility Management Network, during the annual conference. In 2011, EFMC was being held Vienna and was hosted by TU Wien.
The hotel was comfortable and I found the staff to be professional and friendly.
I have to say that when I checked in, many people were complaining about the air conditioning in their rooms. there was technical failure and leaking. My room was fine, no issues at all.
Unique Quality: There is no bar, but you can obtain drinks from the reception desk. There is a breakfast room, but no restauarant; however if you book ahead you can hold an event dinner in the hotel.
The hotel has an enclosed garden amd it is quite pleasant to have breakfast alfresco.

Centrally located & still in a rather quiet area
Austria Trend Hotel beim Theresianum is close to Karlskirche and Karlsplatz , and the Favoritenstrasse is rather quiet in that area, with just a tiny bit of local trafic.

Unique Quality: This hotel is a great middle-class-hotel, rather quiet and still close to the centre !
...and when you like to know, what Theresianum means ...
...it is the boarding school with a large park just opposite of it.
A school with former pupils like globerover, globetrott and many others...

Advise re Hotel in Veinna

My Husband and I will go to Vienna on Mid February, would like to have your opinion for the following :
Austria Trend Hotel beim Theresianum ***
A familiar Hotel, near the center with 52 rooms.
Location:
The hotel is in easy reach of the city center by tram or underground and not far from Belvedere Palace and Vienna's South railway station.
As we will go there by Train from Prague, and the travel agent told me that this hotel is near by Train Station, is that right?

Hi !
The hotel is in fact very close to the centre of Vienna.
You may walk within 7 minutes to the Opera or Karlskirche.
You have the subway directely at your hotel
I think "Taubstummengasse" is the station of U1.
From Suedbahnhof you first take tram 18 for just 1 station, change at Suedtiroler Platz and go on with U1 direction to the centre/ (UNO City/Kagran)
You might as well take a taxi, BUT the driver will not like the idea a lot, that your hotel is just around a few blocks.
The hotel is in a rather quiet area without noisy trafic.
