Room was okay for single person with ensuite bathroom, TV, electric fan and a clothes rack. Towel is provided free of charge.
Groceries and amenities can be bought at a shop in the train station or at Billa supermarket located
2 short blocks from the hotel. But take note, Billa closes early at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m.
A 20-30 minute walk will take you through Mariahilferstrasse and on to Old Town center.
Unique Quality: Near Westbahnhoff and Mariahilferstrasse. Some rooms face the street and might be noisy from night till wee hours of the morning due to cars and vans passing on the road. Common kitchen with basic amenities which all guests can use. Free internet on 2 computers located in the lounge area---just wait for your turn if somebody goes ahead of you. Vendo machine for colas, juice and water right at the entrance.
Directions: From main doors of Westbanhoff, turn left. You will see a Chinese restaurant across the street (if still there). Follow street to the left,( passing back end of train station) then walk 2 blocks down and Do Step Inn is on the right side of the road.
Has anybody ever stayed at the Do Step Inn ? What is it like? Are the facilities clean? Is the area safe to walk around at night time (not too late, though)? I understand they have the hotel and the hostel. Please comment on the hotel.
Also, is there a Chinatown in Vienna? Where is it located?
Thanks!
I don't know about the Do Step Inn, but I know for sure that there is no Chinatown in Vienna.
