Etap Hotel Wien Sankt Marx

The Etap Hotel Wien Sankt Marx is a very basic place to stay in Vienna. The rooms are 44 Euro a night for one person, and 53 Euro a night for two people. The maximum amount of people that can stay in one room are two adults and one child. The rooms are simply furnished with a bunk bed (room for two people on the bottom bunk, one on top), a desk with a chair and a small t.v., a shower, sink and toilet.

Breakfast is not included, but is very reasonably priced at 5 Euros per person, and included bread, croissants, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice.

There is wireless internet in the rooms, but not free. It is a T-Mobile hotspot, and the cost was 8 Euros for an hour. There is also an internet kiosk on the main floor, but it was not working at the time we were there.

The rooms were clean and the hotel is only a couple of blocks from the Gasometer and Erdberg metro stations.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay in Vienna with no frills, this is the place for you.

Directions: Take the U-Bahn Line U3 and get off at either Gasometer or Erdberg. Gasometer takes you closer, but Erdberg takes you down more main streets.

Great value for money!!! basic , no luxury , but hey , you need a bed and a shower - right?

Stayed at the Etap Hotel Vienna last weekend, and it was an excellent impression! For only 47EUR we've got a double room with A/C, color SAT TV and actually 3 beds. It is a bit spartan (hallways remind a bit on a school or hospital interior), but it is VERY clean, and very comfortable. It was very easy to find, and there is also a hotel garage at a ridiculous rate of 6,60EUR for 24hrs - compared to an average of 12-20EUR in other mainstream Vienna hotels.

Unique Quality: No amenities whatsoever, so if you can't live without a hotel restaurant, indoor pool or room service - then this isn't a hotel for you. Just across the street from the hotel there is a gas station so you can buy snacks and drinks there, and vending machines just beside the front desk, coin operated of course.
