Friendly Hostel

Pros:
great friendly staff
clean
meet some fun people
kitchen is quite good and anyone can use it

Cons:
ratio of showers/toilets to people - 1:10 if not busy, much worse if busy
no staff available after about noon - and if you need to call them, they charge extra
if its busy you'll be sleeping above the kitchen with a curtain to block the noise

Panda Hostel/Lauria Apartments

We actually stayed in one of the apartments because the hostel was full. The hostel looked very, very small though. People were crammed in every which way. The apartment was nice. We had to get to our beds via a ladder (room was in a loft) but it was nice having a television. It's within walking distance to the old town, but a very very long walk. The tram stops right out front, and that's good because the neighborhood is very seedy.

  • Opinion of Price: least expensive
