Hotel in Nestroyplatz area; Great location

This is a small budget hotel just outside the main tourist area of Vienna, but it is very conveniently located. It is also used a lot by business people visiting the United Nations since the U1 (red line) underground/metro station (Nestroyplatz) is in front of the hotel; the U1 goes directly to the United Stations complex at Kaisermuller station stop.

Also Nestroyplatz station is only one stop to Schwedenplatz (Schweden plaza) and also 1 stop away from Praterstern stop (where the regional trains/schellbahn - stops).

This hotel is surrounded by good amenities, restaurants, cafes and bars.

You can also walk to the city centre. It is only 5-10 minutes walk to Schwedenplatz, and then a few minutes to Stephansplatz.

Unique Quality: Clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Great location. Great Value.
Ask for a room on the back of hotel so you have less street noise.

a place to lay my head at night

this was a simple place, all the basic necessities a hotel room should have. outside facade with a clear easy to find sign, ordinary exterior, contemporary decor, street view, good location. it's a couple of steps away from the u-bahn (nestroyplatz - u1). it's also near the vienna prater and close to a lot of restaurants. i like that it values privacy, i wasn't bothered for anything. service is polite, english-speaking staff. i had a safebox in the room to store my passport, etc. standard viennese breakfast (cheese, meat, fruit, bread), nothing warm for the stomach except coffee. internet charge is about 1 euro for 10 minutes if you use the hotel computer.

A bit dingy....

Vienna's Affordable and Comfortable Accommodation

This three star hotel, is affordable and offers all the amenities one might need. It is situated on Praterstrasse which is close to where the Wiener Prater is. It offers excellent connections to the underground train. You can get to the city centre, as well as other places like Stephansplatz, in less than 10 minutes!

The only negative aspect I might highlight is the fact that tourists who get to spend more than 5 nights in this hotel don't really have a choice for breakfast. Breakfast is in fact what you might expect of a three star hotel.

There is no pool and there are no rooms with great views. There is also no restaurant available in the hotel itself. Although situated in a main street, it is extremely quiet.
