Few questions to locals or experienced travellers
by manofaran
Hi all^
Now I'm heading to Wien. This was another dream and it's quite real to become true.
I've got a Thomas Cook guide through Wien, but can not find info on other cities and small towns.
As I am interested to see more in Austria I would like to ask you:
1. What three closest to Wien cities/towns that can be reached by bus or train you suggest to visit? Beautifull but probably not often visited by tourists.
2. Is it possible for a single traveller without car to reach Hallstatt (train, bus)?
3. Where would you bring your best friend who is first time in Wien to make him feel the "spirit of the city" in the beginning of March?
4. Are there any restrictions in Wien for making photos in the streets (tripod restrictions f.e.)?
5. What is the best photoprocessing (film only) in Wien?
6. What places for landscaping on Danube not far from Wien?
7. Analog photogear0camera shops in Wien (I know abt leicashop.com but nothing more)
Thanks in advance to all who'll take part!
Best regards!

Hi, get a Lonely planet for Austria, and you will find out about the liitle villages and towns around Vienna which are @off the Beaten Track@ so to say! There is morew than enough posibilty for photography from Schonbrunn gardens, along the Danube, grinzing etc. etc. too much too mention!
You can alo google for transport and bus time tables from Wien to Hallstadt!
Have a great time
