Bike
by Peret
As a lot of cities in centre Europe, Vienna is perfect to take a walk in bike. We rented three in the prater, and went around the Donau, the ONU city. It was not expensive, everybody can pay. That is a great memory that i keep. If you can, don't miss it. The streets and the citizens are quite ready to the bikes.
Take a walk
by blaird
We did quite a bit of walking when we were in Vienna. While we U-Bahn-ed it to St Stephens, we walked for miles afterwards. The architecture is beautiful along the way. As we walked towards the Hofburg we were amazed at the orante scultures all around and teh beautiful churches. Find a map and take a walk, it's the best way around.
Castle (schloss) Schonbrunn
by tomeek
Royal palace at the outskirts of Vienna, famous Schonnbrunn castle, actual residence of king and queen. Todays entire compound is a museum, castle tour includes visit to the park, labyrinth (maze), zoo (not included in basic price), and bakery, where you will taste the most delicious apple cake I have ever tasted in my life!
Belvedere
by bugulma
Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663 - 1736), the most brilliant military mind of his age, commissioned Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt to design and build the garden palace Belvedere as a summer residence outside the walls of the city. The palace, one of the most exquisite Baroque structures in the world, consists of two palaces (Upper and Lower Belvedere). Unfortunately I was in the city in not good time (December 30-31), and I was there in evening only.
Fiakers
by Skipka
It is typical feature of Vienna. Fiakers take you around the deep core of the center and you should feel the special atmosphere of this city. The smell of old times when Sisi and other nobles were living in the city. Hofburg and other important places are full of fiakers so you can easily hire one.
