We just return from a long weekend from Vienna 5th - 9th of Janouary). My husband and i stayed at Shermin Apartments because Shermin hotel was fully booked, in a great studio apartment with a large living-bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, toilet, washingmashine, hairdreyer etc. It is located in the city center (10min), within walking distance
to the major sights and cultural & entertainment centers. Near to "Südtirolerplatz U1" subway station at two minutes walk to the apartment. Near to supermarket and bakery. It was a great stay in Vienna and one reason was the comfortable, nice, clean, frinedly apartment that we stayed.
Great Location - Friendly Staff

Just returned from Hotel Pension Shermin, having spent 3 wonderful nights in lovely Vienna. What can I say except that this hotel is ideal - Nice rooms, very clean, well appointed and great value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful, without being pushy or interferring. The hotel is located 3 minutes walk from Karlsplatz underground and another 5 minutes to Stefansplatz, the main square in Vienna. In conclusion, I am happy to recommend the Hotel Pension Shermin due to it's location, value for money, cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
Fantastic location and breakfast!

We have just returned from a 4 night break in vienna staying here, and i would have no reservation about staying here again. The location is fantastic and the staff are not in your face all the time like some hotels! the breakfast is wonderful, and more than you could possibly need, and an excellent location, 5 mins away from the centre of Vienna. STAY HERE!!
There is only one little negative point, we were put into room number 15, which is VERY close to reception, and we could hear everything from the phone ringing to one VERY loud American early our 1st morning who could not grasp the conversion of temperature from celcius to farenheit. Not too much of a problem if the hotel was not busy but i imagine it would be very noisy in summer, so do not stay in room 15!
Apart from that it is clean and everything you could possibly want from a hotel
Great central location and service

The hotel was just great for what you were paying for. My family stayed in one room with a large bed and 2 single beds. Very ample for my wife and 2 boys 16 and 9 years old. The location was perfect. Right next to the underground and very close to the center of the old city. The staff was great, very helpful with suggestions for dinner and directions for places to see. All major attractions are within a 10 minute walk. The rooms were very clean and quiet. I actually found parking on the street for the weekend right near the pension. The breakfast was extremely generous and plentiful. The reception area was filled with tourist guides and maps. My family enjoyed it and would go back again.
Great Pension

This little Pension was an amazing stay. My room overlooked a gorgeous fountain and the street outside. Booked as a double room, I was pleased to find a double bed and a twin bed, as well as a couch that looked as though it could be used as another bed. Lovely fixtures and decorations throughout the pension. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing location (5 minutes to very large train station, 10 to opera house, 5 to Secession Museum), good breakfast (yogurt, muslix, boiled eggs, hard rolls, cheeses, deli meats). Only downside is large, 30 step spiral staircase up which you must haul all your suitcases. However, it was very doable, even after a full day's flights. Doors locked at all times, must buzz to access. An amazing find.
Pension Shermin Very Accomodating

I stayed for a week in a self-contained flat belonging to the Pension Shermin. It was in a great location, reasonably priced and had all the conveniences one could ask for. Moreover, the owners were very accomodating and did there best to provide all the services they could. For example, when I signed in, I mentioned half jokingly how great it would be if the flat had an Italian Espresso maker. Within a day or two, one was delivered to the door.

Good Basic Accomodation - friendly staff

I spent one night at the Pension Sherman and found the hotel and room to be satisfactory. The location is convenient to downtown and to a U-bahn station; the street is quiet and the staff helpful, knowledgeable and courteous.
The breakfast was a reasonable continental spread - always an important consideration when you are looking for that protein punch to get you going in the morning.
For about 100 EUR a night, do not expect the Ritz but a few things that I would have appreciated would have been more hot water in the shower and darker curtains for the room (the sheer curtains let in the early morning sun).
Overall, a good stay for a good price in a good location.
Good value in Vienna

Hotel Pension Shermin is good value in Vienna. We stayed there for 3 nights in March. It has good sized rooms and confortable beds. It is very well located - handy to the train and tram. It is within walking distance of most of the major historical sights. The staff are pleasant and helpful.
Cosy apartment

My husband and I just returned from Vienna where we stayed at the Shermin apartments because the Shermin hotel was fully booked. It was a very clean studio apartment, large living/bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, toaster, microwave, washing machine, ironing board. The bathroom was very clean equipped with a shower/bathtub and a hairdryer.
The apartment is less than a 5 minute walk to the subway station with a bank, supermarket and bakery located between the apartment and the subway.
The only “hitch” was that we arrived at the apartment thinking that someone would be there to let us in – turned out that we should have picked up the keys at the hotel before going to the apartment except they forgot to let us know. We got the building maintenance person who couldn’t speak English but was helpful enough to get someone from an office in the next building who spoke English. To make a long story short, we eventually were able to deposit our luggage in the apartment but still had to go the hotel to pick up the keys. They did offer to have a taxi pick us up but we took the subway instead and all turned out well. Luckily we only had one piece of luggage per person and arrived mid-afternoon otherwise it would have been a disaster. Can’t imagine arriving there at night.
Even after that experience, I would still recommend the apartment.
5 nights in hotel sherman's apartment

we are a married couple, 45 years old, and we planned a trip to Budapest and Vienna . in Vienna we planned on staying for 5 nights and we were looking for an apartment - we like having our own space, to decide when we want to eat and not to see anyone if we don't want to.
we looked for an apartment in vienna through the internet, we found shemin-apartment and it looked good for us - by place,size, price, etc.
through the mail we found out helping and caring people, giving us directions coming by train, more than willing to change the dates and to hold on a little bit, while we were deciding.
when we got there we found The apartment was big, nice and very clean, very well equipped and very comfortable to stay. very cosy furnitures and - stereo, that we hopped for, after bying 3 c.d's .
The owner is a very nice lady, who was willing to help and guide us to stores and museons and to try and make our stay comfortable and nice. we are happy to recommend this place and we plan to send our friends there.
