Great Place
We paid a little more to stay in this hotel than we did the others on our trip (about $55 per person, three to a room), but it was worth it. The location is ideal--right by the Opera House (hence the name). It is truly a charming, well run hotel, with bright airy rooms. It was a bit noisy, but no more than you'd expect in a city center. The en suite bathroom was very nice, and I loved the high ceilings. They had an excellent breakfast in a charming little breakfast room. Additionally, the staff was very helpful with things to do/places to eat. Great shopping in the area as well!

A little bit of class
This is a lovley little 3 star hotel that is the sister hotel to the Hotel Schweizerhof.
Each of the rooms are nicley decorated and will take you back in time to a simpler day.
Unique Quality: There is no real view from the room as there is a taller building across the street but the look down the road is very nice.

Centrally located Hotel
Very cosy double room with private shower / wc, TV with mostly german channels, very warm beds (extremely good during cold seasons stay), good heating system.
Breakfasts are really reached and, if you desire, are delivered to your room for free.
Unique Quality: Hotel is very centrally located - next to Opera, to Saint Stephan's Cathedral, to Hofburg Palace.

Erdberg bus station
Hello,
I will appreciate if anybody can help me with the directions. Soon I will celebrate my birthday in Vienna and will stay in the Hotel Zur Wiener Staatsoper.
I arrive to bus station Erdberg. How can I get to the Hotel from there? Which public transport would you advise me to use?

I may recommend, you take metro U3 and leave at station Stephansplatz.
When you click on "contact" you will see a map that might give you the idea , Krugerstraße is just next to Stephansplatz - in fact it is the 4th or 6th sidestreet on the left on your way towards the Opera.
But it is a nice walk, maybe 600 meters.

I think, the best way ist to go with the underground U3 to the Wr. Stephansplatz.
Maybe this webside is helpful for you. Here you can find the ways on a map, and you can read useful informations about vienna.

I had a lovely time in Vienna, although freezing, but still visited many places in 3 days - Snt.Stephan's Cathedral, Hofburg Palace with charming Kaiser Appartments, Shonbrun Palace, Ferris Wheel, Opera performance.
It was great birthday celebration!
