A classy small well-designed hotel 1 km far from the city centre. All rooms provided with a kitchenette and satellite TV. Nice patio. Breakfast consists of croissants with different kinds of jam and coffee/tea and is self-served day-long in a small dining-room with a few bookshelves and a TV panel display. Hotel restaurant and other facilities (incliding home modern art gallery) are situated next door, in the Laudon Parliament.
Directions: Rathaus District (about 10 min=0,5 km). Trams run along the Ring, so you can shorten your travel to the centre by taking public transport (including subway).
These are great little apartment at good rates. Clean and modern they are perhaps getting a little tired. Our sitting room had nail-less gaping holes in the walls and the wooden flooring had definitely seen better days. Kitchen with kettle, dishwasher and hob.
Breakfasts of croissant and bread with jams and cheeses plus the usual coffee, oj and tea. The dining room has just one table - large enough to seat 8 - so sometimes there is a bit of a wait to eat.
Good sturdy baby cot available.
Free wi-fi via a cable. I'd explain but I just can't. So free internet access really.
The restaurant is situated in the Laudon Parliament which is a little closed to the Rathaus but we didn't have the opportunity OR budget to give it a try. As we arrived at about midnight we had to collect our keys from the restaurant U.S.W. which could have been a real bind had we arrived even later when the restaurant was shut.
I could quite happily live here although my husband did point out that there'd be nowhere for all of my books. And that would never do.
